Overview of the Journal

The Journal of Intercultural Dialogue is an interdisciplinary, multilingual academic journal published by the International Institute for the Study of Nomadic Civilizations (IISNC) under the auspices of UNESCO since 2023. The journal aims to promote a wide range of research in intercultural studies, explore both theoretical and practical aspects of intercultural dialogue, and contribute to a deeper and more impactful understanding of this important field.

Thematic Focus: Research Papers Related to Horses in Nomadic Civilizations

We particularly welcome submissions that examine the role, significance, symbolism, and traditions of horses in nomadic civilizations. This includes their place within pastoral systems, their contribution to intercultural dialogue, and their transformations in contemporary society.

Diplomatic Mobility: Equine speed enabled the first “rapid response” diplomatic networks, allowing for the exchange of political ideas and state agreements across vast distances.
Technological Transfer: The movement of horse-related traditions (saddlery, horsemanship, and martial arts) represents an early form of global knowledge exchange between Eastern and Western cultures.
Livestock Herding and Practices: Focuses on ethno-veterinary knowledge, husbandry techniques, and the transmission of herding skills.
Oral Traditions and Literature: The horse is a recurring protagonist in the literature and languages of Central Asia, symbolizing freedom, loyalty, and the “nomadic mind”.
Ritual and Belief: Equine symbolism is deeply embedded in ethnic and traditional cultures, often representing a spiritual link between the earth and the heavens.
Ecological Stewardship: Studying traditional herding practices provides essential insights into sustainable pasture management and the preservation of cultural diversity in the face of modern urbanization.
Economic Interaction: The horse was the “engine” of the Silk Road, facilitating the trade of silk, spices, and philosophies that defined the modern world.
Art and Sport: From traditional festivals to international competitions, the horse continues to be a medium for cultural diplomacy and national branding in the 21st century.
Preservation: In the context of UNESCO initiatives, equine heritage is a priority for preserving cultural diversity against the homogenizing effects of urbanization.

Submission Guidelines:
• Manuscripts must be original works not previously published elsewhere.
• Manuscripts may be submitted in Mongolian, Turkish, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, as well as Russian, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Korean.
• The cover page should include the article title, author(s)’ name(s), institutional affiliation, and email address.
• An abstract (150–250 words), keywords, and the article title must be provided in both English and the chosen language.
• The main text should be up to 8000 words, formatted in Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing, with 2 cm margins.
• The journal follows the Chicago Manual of Style (Author-Date system).
• Images and tables must be numbered, captioned, and referenced in the text, with 300 DPI resolution.

📖 “Соёл хоорондын харилцан ойлголцол” сэтгүүлд өгүүллээ ирүүлэхийг урьж байна.
Эрхэм эрдэмтэн судлаачид та бүхнийг “Соёл хоорондын харилцан ойлголцол” сэтгүүлийн 2026 оны дугаарт судалгаа, шинжилгээнийхээ үр дүнг нийтлүүлэхийг урьж байна.

“Соёл хоорондын харилцан ойлголцол” сэтгүүл нь ЮНЕСКО-ийн ивээл дор Нүүдлийн соёл иргэншлийг судлах олон улсын хүрээлэнгээс эрхлэн хэвлүүлж буй салбар дундын, олон хэл дээрх эрдэм шинжилгээний сэтгүүл юм. Соёл хоорондын судалгааны чиглэлээр өргөн хүрээний судалгаа шинжилгээний үр дүн, шилдэг бүтээлийг сурталчлах, соёл хоорондын яриа хэлэлцээний онолын болон практик талуудыг судалж, уг сэдвийг гүнзгийрүүлэн ойлгуулах, түүний үр дүнг нэмэгдүүлэхэд хувь нэмэр оруулах нь тус сэтгүүлийн эрхэм зорилго болно.

Нүүдлийн соёл иргэншил дэх адууны үүрэг, ач холбогдол, бэлгэдэл, уламжлал, мал аж ахуйн тогтолцоо, соёл хоорондын харилцаанд гүйцэтгэх байр суурь, мөн орчин үеийн нийгэм дэх хувьсал өөрчлөлтийг судалсан өгүүллийг онцгойлон хүлээн авна.

Өгүүлэл илгээх удирдамж:
• Гар бичмэл нь өөр газар хэвлэгдээгүй эх хувь байх ёстой.
• Гар бичмэлийг хүрээлэнгийн гишүүн орнуудын хэл болох монгол, турк, казах, киргиз хэл дээр болон орос, хятад, герман, япон, солонгос зэрэг судалгааны хэлээр ирүүлж болно. Энэхүү олон хэл дээрх сэтгүүл нь соёлын олон талт байдлыг дэмждэг болно.
• Нүүр хуудсанд өгүүллийн гарчиг, зохиогч(д)-ын нэр(с), байгууллагын харьяалал, цахим шуудангийн хаяг зэргийг агуулсан байна.
• Өгүүллийн хураангуй (150-250 үгтэй), түлхүүр үг, илтгэлийн гарчгийг англи болон сонгосон хэл дээр бичнэ.
• Эх бичвэр нь 8000 хүртэлх үгтэй, Times New Roman, 12 үсгийн фонт, мөр хоорондын зай 1.5, бүх талаас 2 см зайтай байна.
• Сэтгүүл нь эшлэл, ном зүйн хувьд Chicago Manual of Style (CMS) -ийг дагаж мөрддөг. (Зохиогч огноо) загвараар текст доторх эшлэлийг ашиглаж, нийтлэлийн төгсгөлд ном зүйг оруулна уу.
• Хэрэв таны гар бичмэлд зураг эсвэл хүснэгт байгаа бол тэдгээрийг дугаарласан, нэр/тайлбар өгсөн, текстэнд эш татсан байх ёстой. Зургыг 300 DPI нарийвчлалтайгаар хэвлүүлэхээр ирүүлнэ.
