Our young researchers have successfully conducted research projects in Kazakhstan
Our young researchers, Bumbayar Bavuudorj and Munkhochir Surenjav, have successfully conducted fieldwork on research projects in Central Asia in Astana, Zhezkazgan, and Almaty cities of Kazakhstan. During the field trip, they visited the National Commission for UNESCO of the Republic of Kazakhstan and discussed the decisions of the Fifth General Assembly session of IISNC. Besides, they exchanged ideas regarding cooperation and implementing joint research projects with the Institute of History and Ethnology named under Ch. Ch. Valikhanov (Ministry of Education and Science), following up on the MoU between the two institutes.

Our Director, Ch. Munkhtuul, is giving a speech at the National University of Mongolia! She emphasizes Institute’s aims, further research missions, and collaboration with the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology.
Mongolian traditional rituals and festive
G. Zulbaatar, Research and Program Coordinator, has recently conducted fieldwork on the project “Mongolian traditional rituals and festive” in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, China, and Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Researchers from IISNC participated in the international academic conference
Researchers from IISNC participated in the international academic conference “The Golden Horde/Ulus of Jochy and Ulytau” organized at the ‘Mausoleum of Jochi’ complex, Ulytau region, Republic of Kazakhstan. Some 11 researchers and scholars from the USA, Austria, Australia, Hungary, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Japan and South Korea have participated in the conference. Our young researchers, Bumbayar Bavuudorj and Munkhochir Surenjav, presented some outcomes of the research project on studying the worshipping rituals and practices of nomads, which is being implemented by IISNC in 2023.
