Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – A training initiative by The Climate Reality Project, an organization founded by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, took place in Ulaanbaatar on October 2-3, 2025. The event was designed to discuss the climate crisis and its solutions, gathering stakeholders and leaders dedicated to driving change.
The training served as a platform for experts to share knowledge on climate-related challenges specific to Mongolia and potential adaptation strategies.
During the event, Dr. Ch. Munkhtuul, Director of IISNC, delivered a speech focusing on pasture protection and the unique challenges facing nomadic herders. Dr. Munkhtuul’s talk covered the impacts of climate change and ecological degradation on their livelihoods, as well as the traditional wisdom and associated research dedicated to adapting to these changing environmental conditions.
