🌟 As part of the Cultural Creativity Month initiative under the theme “Pride of Mongolia” we are pleased to invite you to a special talk: Visual Narratives of the Taiga with Ella Godfroy

The lecture will explore how visual representations of the Dukha homeland-now part of the Tengis-Shishged National Park and Ulaan Taiga Strictly Protected Area-shape public perception, often highlighting “wild” landscapes while obscuring the real challenges faced by the Dukha community, whose access to hunting, fishing, and grazing lands has been increasingly restricted.

👩‍🏫 About the Speaker:

Ella Godfroy holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and is currently studying Mongolian language and civilization at INALCO (Paris). Through painting and video using anthropological approaches, she examines the place of non-humans within human collectives.
