IISNC successfully organized “Nomadic Ethics and Intercultural Dialogue” within the framework of the subordinate objective of creating evidence-based scientific knowledge about moral practices, values, and norms. The conference was the first major academic conference to specifically discuss nomadic ethics, and it is believed to have resulted in the creation of rich empirical material on ethical practices and values for further research and policy development. The conference was held on June 22-23, 2023 in Ulaanbaatar. The conference was co-organized by the Institute of Mongolian Studies, National University of Mongolia, Oxford University, Mongolian Anthropological Association, Commission on Nomadic Peoples, University of Winnipeg, supported by the Ministry of Culture of Mongolia and UNESCO Mongolian National Commission. To delve deeper into the insights and findings, the conference proceedings are now ready for exploration!
