Researcher B.Tugsbuyan, who is conducting research in Bishkek, met Kamil Mamadaliyev, the renowned Manas narrative from Talas, Kyrgyzstan. Kamil Mamadaliyev participated in our international academic conference on “Nomadic Ethics and Intercultural Dialogue.” According to him, the “Manas” epic is not only about the Kyrgyz hero but also encompasses numerous heroes from around the world. Therefore, we have the opportunity to explore this research from various perspectives and in connection with multiple cultures without being confined to a specific research topic.

Meeting with Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich

Prof. Dr. Hans van Ess, the Vice President for Research at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich of the Federal Republic of Germany, paid a visit to the Secretariat of IISNC under the auspices of UNESCO. Following the discussions held during the meeting, a mutual decision was reached to foster educational and scientific collaboration between the two entities.

Mentors, undergraduate students of Japan paid a visit to the IISNC

Accompanied by their mentors, undergraduate students, specializing in Anthropology and Ecological Tourism, from J.F. Oberlin University, Rikkyo University, and Tokiwa University of Japan paid a visit to the Secretariat of IISNC under the auspices of UNESCO. The Director and the Secretariat staff warmly received the students and introduced them to the institute’s operation and research projects.

Summer school

The Post-Pandemic Inner Asia Project successfully organized a two-day summer school in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, with a team of teachers and researchers from Oxford, Cambridge, British Columbia, Meiji, and the National University of Mongolia. A researcher from our Institute, conducting research in Bishkek, participated in the summer school.

Danshig Naadam festival

The annual Danshig Naadam festival will kick off in a blaze of color and excitement, drawing thousands of enthusiastic spectators and participants from across Mongolia.
